Informal Intake Assessments
In order to properly understand where your child’s strengths and challenges lie, we conduct an assessment. This is a different type of assessment to an Educational Psychologists’ assessment, and can not be used instead of one. Our assessments do not tell us where your child’s abilities lie in comparison to other children of the same age. They simply tell us where we need to start instruction and help us create a plan for your child.
Cost of assessment
Language:
Language Assessments cost $200. Following the assessment, we provide a written report that details our findings, what our plan is and other ways that you can support your child. This report is helpful to your child’s teacher also.
Math:
Math Assessments cost $100. Following the assessment, we provide a learning plan for your child for the next term which sets achievable goals for us to monitor.
How do the assessments happen?
Assessments take place virtually through Zoom and a whiteboard program. Please schedule 1.25 hrs for the assessment.
